My favorite character in this book is Kim. She is my favorite character because I like how she started the huge garden with a lot of people by just planting a couple of seeds. I also like how she planted the seeds for her father that she never met.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Gonzalo because he seems very nice and by other genuine. I thought it was very cool that he learned english by watching tv and learning by people on the playground. I also like how he seemed very helpful with his uncle and his father. He helps his father speak english and his uncle by watching him and making sure he is okay. Gonzalo is my favorite character out of all the characters that we have read so far.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Gonzalo because on most days after school he has to take care of Tio Juan. If I had to do that after school I would probably tell my mom that I wouldn't take care of whoever it is I would have to take care of.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character in Seed Folks is Kim because, she is the one that started the garden and since she planted those beans she inspired people to clean up and plant in the garden all because Kim planted those beans.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Gonzalo because it was interesting that he learned how to speak english from watchin TV. I know I cant learn a language from watching TV. He also helped his uncle, Tio Juan, with planting the plants. I would do the same.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character in the book so far is Sam. I think he is the best because he is a peaceful person that doesn't have any crazy superstitions. He helps other people and if I was friends with one of the characters it would be Sam. Taking away the fact that he is seventy-eight.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite charter in Seedfolks is Sam because he is a peace maker and a good part of the garden. And i like how he tells the story about the homeless man and how he picked some of the plants out of the ground.
ReplyDeleteSo far in Seedfolks, I think my favorite character is Gonzalo. He learned to speak English by watching cartoons. I think that is pretty cool! I also like how he helps Tio Juan, his mom's uncle, with planting some seeds in the garden. If I was in his spot, I would do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteIn "SEEDFOLKS" so far my character is Ana. I like Ana because she has been looking out that same window for years. Just watching. She knows all the history of that area and I think she will be there for a while. I also like her because when she saw Kim she thought something was wrong and wanted to save the town. Even though she ended up ripping out Kim's Lima beans she meant well.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite character in the book so far is Anna because she wanted the vacant lot to be clean from all the trash thrown by members of the town.She wanted the lot to be clean so citizens can plant.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Kim because she started it all! She planted the beans and when Ana called in Wendell to go check on what was going on in the empty lot everything changes! Now it isn't an empty lot. It is a beautiful garden that Kim started! I also feel sadness toward her because she never got to meet her father. I like that she did this for him and she is trying to be like him. That is the reason Kim is my favorite!

She likes to have things neat.i like her because she wants people to hear her voice.She likes to be clean liek alot. She is really awesome. She is one of my favorite.

ReplyDeleteSo far my favorite character is Sam because he wants everyone to get along, and everyone to be friends even though we are diffrent races.His goal is to not have the garden separated just because of diffrent races.
My favorite character is Leona because I like how her grandmother goes to her doctors funerals and puts some golden rod over their graves. I also like this character because she didn't want to be on hold when it came to garbage in the vacant lot. Then she brought a bag of trash to the Public Health Department and opened it to show how much help they need to get the trash out of the lot.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character from Seedfolks is Leona because she isn't afraid of what people think of her. She is very assertive and knows what she wants. I hope to be like her someday. I want to try things that other people would think that I'm crazy for trying and not care what they think of me. I also like her grandmother. She is as stubborn as Leona : )
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Leona's grandmother. I like how she would lay a little of golderrod tea on the grave of a doctor. She did live a very long time and i was impressed after reading about her. I really liked that she wouldnt listen to the doctors and had a mind of her own. Granny reminds me of a couple of people i know from a couple of her characteristics.

I feel really bad for her, because first her husband died, and then she got beat up by some man, and now she is afraid to talk to people, and see people, and everything like that! hopefully as she continues to work in the garden she will start to trust people and have friends.

ReplyDeleteSo far in Seedfolks, my favorite character is Sae Young. I think she is an older woman. She came here, to America and started a dry cleaning store. She thought it would be best for her because she doesn't speak prefect english. Her husband had a heat attack. She was working in her store normally until a man came in with a coat and a gun, He kicked her twice, and robbed her. She didnt want to interact with people much after that happened. I felt very sad for her because If anything this bad happened to me, I'd be terrified. Also she seemed like a nice woman who was living well. Then she saw the garden and she joined. At first she didn'y really talk to anyone but the second day she did. I thought it was nice of her to finally start talking to people more, finally after two years. I also like Sae Young because she is a simple character, she isnt confusing and I like her name.
